The Neosho County Community College Student Support Services project - Students Thriving, Achieving and Recognizing Success (STARS) - purpose is to connect students with opportunity through academic achievement and personal growth.
Bart is originally from Junction City, KS. He has lived in Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, and Colorado. Bart earned an AA from Cloud County Community College in Kansas, a BS in Psychology, and an MS in Counseling in Higher Education from Fort Hays State University. Bart worked at FHSU as a Residence Hall Director five years and then as a Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of Kansas 11 years. He has been with STARS since January of 2007. Bart enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, reggae and 60s/70s rock music, movies, and carpentry in his spare time.
Angela Lisle-Transfer/Career Advisor
Angela is originally from Houston, MO. She graduated with her BS degree in both Sociology and Biology from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. Angela completed her MA in Counseling in 2009 at Webster University in Rolla, MO. She has been with the STARS Team since April 2013. In her free time, she enjoys updating her personal blog with healthy, yet delicious, recipes which she tests on her husband and daughter, as well as playing and singing all types of music with her family and friends when possible.
Grace Riebel-English/Reading Specialist
Grace grew up in Iola, KS. She completed concurrent courses at Allen County Community College before attending Pittsburg State University to earn her BA and MA in English Literature. She taught English Composition I and II at Pitt State. Grace spent time traveling and studying in South Korea and the United Kingdom. She joined the STARS Team in January 2010. She's interested in classic literature, animals, nature, and perspicacious ponderings about authentic aesthetics.
Elizabeth Robinson - Math/Science Specialist
Elizabeth is originally from St. Peters, MO. She graduated with her BS degree in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has been a developmental math instructor and professional tutor at NCCC since 2009. Elizabeth joined the STARS program in August of 2011. She spends her spare time with her friends and family and enjoys a variety of traditionally "nerdy" hobbies.
Lindsey Donovan-Student Support and Data Specialist
Lindsey is originally from Waterloo, IA. She has lived in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, New Jersey, Illinois, and Arizona. She graduated with her AS degree in Business Management from Neosho County Community College in 2015 and has plans to complete a BS degree in Business Management next. She joined the STARS team in February 2016. Previously, she worked as a Library Associate in NCCC's Chapman Learning Center and as a Library Supervisor at the Scottsdale Public Library in Arizona. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, baking, learning new things, and spending time with her family, friends, and animals.
